Beyond The Classroom

1. The BTC representative is there for overall tour direction. As the designated group leader on the BTC tour, you are responsible for accompanying students during all tour activities. The BTC representative may not be present for all tour activities. 2. Please keep count of all students while on tour and count participants on all forms of transportation and before and after each tour activity. 3. Hallway monitoring in the evenings is required. Please help keep noise levels to a minimum and assist with keeping students safe and accounted for while at the hotel. 4. Swimming pool supervision may be required. 5. Help to check out rooms with the room captains in the morning. 6. Keep in mind that the first concern of BTC is that the tour participants are safe and enjoy their tour experience. Please do not hold up the tour for personal interests. 7. Please refrain from yelling directions to the students or yelling at the students at any time. 8. Alcohol may not be consumed during any student attended tour activities. 9. It is a requirement that your CPR/First Aid certification be current. 10. No drugs, unless prescribed by a doctor, are allowed at any time while on tour. 11. Smoking is not allowed while on tour while around the students. 12. A background check will be conducted prior to your trip departure. 13. You may be required to room with one or more teacher/group sponsors of the same sex, while on tour. Arrangements for an individual room can be made at your own expense. 14. Please make every effort to be on time for all group activities and meetings. 15. You will be responsible for all optional tipping, on your own meals, and incidentals incurred while on tour. 16. You should make every effort to be present for all parent and BTC meetings including, but not limited to, team building activities, parent meetings, interest meetings, and picture parties. 17. Provided that you recruit at least 12 student tour participants, and that these recruited participants complete the BTC tour, you will be compensated with air fare, hotel accommodation based on double occupancy, ground transportation, luggage tags, entrance to scheduled activities, breakfasts, basic travel insurance, and a phone card while on tour. In addition to the above inclusions, you will be provided with $300 to be used non-included tour meals and incidentals. 18. Any number of recruited participants under 12 will result in lower compensation. 6 recruited tour participants are the absolute fewest needed for any form of trip compensation by BTC.
