Beyond The Classroom is owned and operated by experienced and knowledgeable classroom teachers bringing over 60 years combined classroom teaching experience with more than 20 years combined tour group leadership to your school. 

Beyond The Classroom is based in Golden, Colorado.  We are currently considered a “preferred vendor” in several school districts and have worked with numerous schools throughout Colorado and the United States.

Our domestic tours are based on 24 students and our international tours are based on12.  Limited participant numbers means a higher level of safety with common students to sponsor ratios of 1:4.  Also, with fewer participants, there is easier culture immersion, more tour flexibility, higher quality accommodations, more unique activities, and stronger friendships formed.  Our adult tours are specifically designed to meet the needs of the adult traveler..

Beyond The Classroom makes student travel affordable by promoting fund raising and offering a scholarship fund for high achievement. After an initial deposit to hold your student’s place on the tour, monthly payments may be made for your convenience. There are also financial incentives for early payment in full and for recruiting other friends to sign-up.

Beyond The Classroom offers team building opportunities for all tour participants before the trip departure date to ensure that students are familiar with their tour mates and have an opportunity to make friends which means a better overall tour experience for everyone.

Beyond The Classroom always reserves the finest accommodations available to add to the safety and comfort of your student while traveling.  Students have a reasonable nightly curfew and a tour sponsor or security guard monitors the hallways throughout the night.

With Beyond The Classroom you can rest assured that your student will be well looked after.  We never allow tour guides, sponsors, chaperones or other persons to join the tour without certification to work with young adults, as well as the latest certification in First Aid and CPR.  The tour sponsors we do hire must be top in their field of teaching, professional, responsible, and have prior student tour experience or training..

The Beyond The Classroom tour is designed with education in mind.  Each of the locations that we visit offers an incredible learning experience that is unmatched in a classroom setting.  Our tour guides are teachers first, so the primary goal of the tour is to learn about the people and places that we encounter while having fun and meeting new friends. 
  
Beyond The Classroom may include round-trip airfare depending on your departure city and the needs of the specific group. We always include professional ground transportation, travel and optional medical insurance, phone card, breakfast while on tour, entrance to all scheduled activities, pre-trip travel advice, the service of an experienced tour guide and sponsors, team building, post-trip party, a picture disk, and luggage tags.
