SPRING BREAK IN IRELAND TOUR
 


 

Day 1:  Flight to Ireland, arrive next morning.   

Day 2: Arrive Dublin early monrning.  Collect luggage and meet BTC Guide in welcome hall.  Meet bus transfer from airport to hotel in Dublin city centre.  Leave luggage with bell desk, freshen up in courtesy room and off to Trinity College.  Visit the ancient Book of Kells and the amazing Long Room at the college Library.  Learn about the many famous people who attended Trinity College.  Shop in the unique shops of the Temple Bar area with lunch at the world famous, Bad Ass Café.  After Lunch enjoy the hustle and bustle of shopping on Grafton Street.  Return to hotel to check-in and rest.  Dinner on Grafton Street tonight with an optional visit to the vibrant Gogherty’s Pub for live Irish music and dancing. 

At A Glance:  Arrive airport, Hotel, Trinity College, Book of Kells, Long Room, Temple Bar, Bad Ass Café, Grafton Street, St. Stephen’s Green, Gogherty’s live music.

Day 3:  Sleep-in, breakfast at Bewley’s Café on Grafton Street. Check out of hotel and board our private tour bus, a Mercedes Sprinter, bound for the Blarney Castle.  Lunch in their Guinness Bar, the birth place of Guinness beer, and check-in at your new Hotel.  Travel to Blarney Castle to gain “the gift of gab”, and visit the Blarney Woolen Mills.  Return to the hotel for dinner in their fine dining room.

Day 4: Sleep-in and enjoy a full Irish breakfast.  Optional activity in the morning and check-out.  Travel to the Curragh Race Track in County Kildare. Experience opening day of the flat races in Ireland with lunch at the Curragh.  Afternoon travel to your  Castle in the beautiful Slieve Bloom Mountains in County Offaly. Check-in and evening in the castle with dinner included in the fine dining room.

 Day 5:  Sleep-in, full Irish breakfast and 9:00 a.m. horseback ride through the Slieve Blooms.  Return from the ride and venture through the peat bogs to the traditional thatched pub, Dan & Molly’s for lunch.  Afternoon tours of the haunted Charleville Castle and private tour of Leap Castle with music.  Dinner in Roscrea.  Evening at Kinnitty castle.

 Day 6:  Up Early, full Irish breakfast and check-out of your Castle.  Travel to the finest castle in all of Ireland, Ashford.  Lunch along the way.  1 ½ hour hawk walk throughout the magnificent estate.  Refreshment in the Prince of Wales Bar inside the castle.  Travel to your new Castle for check-in.  Dinner in nearby seaside village in the Connemara region.

Day 7:Sleep-in and enjoy a full Irish breakfast.  Check-out and travel to Galway City Centre for shopping, visit the quaint fishing village of Ballyvaughn and enjoy lunch at the Hyland’s Hotel.  Travel through the ancient Burren region and to the Cliffs of Moher.  Check-in at an award winning farm B&B.  Bunratty Castle, shops with dinner at the world famous Durty Nelly’s Pub. 

At A Glance:  Connemara, Galway City, Ballyvaughn, Burren, Cliffs of Moher, Farm B&B, Bunratty Castle, Durty Nellys.

 Day 8: Rise early with a full Irish breakfast.   Explore the Dingle Peninsula and Adare Village.  Return to your B&B.   Pack and make sure you have your Passport for our flight home tomorrow.

At A Glance:  Dingle Peninsula, Adare Village

Day 9:   Full Irish Breakfast.  Board our airport shuttle to Shannon Airport.   Clear Customs and obtain refund on VAT taxes.  Shopping possible in Duty Free Shops.   We arrive home this evening.
